We are looking to employ a support worker for 10 hours per week for my husband who has an acquired brain injury and type 1 diabetes.

Paul is interested in physical activities such as walking, going to the gym and swimming as well as walking the dogs. He is keen to renew old skills such as art as well as explore new ones in the local community.

Although experience is helpful, it is more important that the ideal candidate is outgoing and has a positive, can do attitude. They will need to be able to search for interesting, new activities which are safe but also challenge Paul and promote his independence.

Paul is a happy, easy going person but can occasionally exhibit some challenging behaviours and the candidate will need to be able to deal with these in a positive way.

Hours of work are two afternoons per week between Monday and Friday and a flexible approach is desirable to cover staff holidays or sickness.

Please contact me for more information or an informal chat about this position.
